HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 2023-194RESOLUTION NO. 2023-194 A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE AGREEMENT WITH SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE COMMUNITY CORPS SERVICE WHEREAS, the Lodi Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department entered into an agreement with the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office Community Corps Service on January 23, 2023, for general labor by inmates including weeding, fire hazard removal, and clearing and grubbing at various park locations; and WHEREAS, the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors has approved revised rates for work crews; and WHEREAS, City Council at its July 19, 2023, meeting allocated $250,000 for fire mitigation, tree maintenance, and general cleanup at Lodi Lake, with a priority to reduce fuel loads in the Nature Area. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Lodi City Council does hereby authorize the City Manager to execute Amendment No. 1 to the agreement with San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office Community Corps Service to add $50,000 to the overall agreement with the revised rates, for a total not -to -exceed amount of $125,000 for three years; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED pursuant to Section 6.3q of the City Council Protocol Manual (Res. No. 2019-223), the City Attorney is hereby authorized to make minor revisions to the above -referenced document(s) that do not alter the compensation or term, and to make clerical corrections as necessary.
