HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 2023-144RESOLUTION NO. 2023-144 A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ADDITIONAL CHANGE ORDERS TO BLAKELY PARK ENZE POOL SHALLOW END ADJUSTMENT; AND FURTHER APPROPRIATING FUNDS WHEREAS, this project will raise one-third of the existing 75 -foot long swimming pool floor by six inches to facilitate public recreational swim activities at Enze Pool per public swimming pool code requirements, raises two main drain covers, replaces the pool plaster finish, replaces the pool depth markers, and replaces the lane line tiles; and WHEREAS, the project was awarded to Western Water Features, Inc., of EI Dorado Hills, for $197,175 on February 1, 2023; and WHEREAS, during plan review, the City of Lodi Building Department and the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department verified compliance to current California Building Code requirements and found additional requirements needed to be met; and WHEREAS, staff recommends authorizing the City Manager to execute additional change orders to Blakely Park - Enze Pool Shallow End Adjustment, in an amount not to exceed $135,000; and WHEREAS, staff further recommends transferring funds in the amount of $160,321 from the Salas Park Parking Lot Reconstruction Project PKCP-22009 (43299000.77020); and WHEREAS, staff further recommends appropriating funds in the amount of $79,679 from Parks State Grant Funds (20599000.77020). NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Lodi City Council does hereby authorize the City Manager to execute additional change orders to Blakely Park - Enze Pool Shallow End Adjustment, in an amount not to exceed $135,000; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Lodi City Council does hereby transfer funds in the amount of $160,321 from the Salas Park Parking Lot Reconstruction Project PKCP-22009 (43299000.77020); and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Lodi City Council does hereby appropriate funds in the amount of $79,679 from Parks State Grant Funds (20599000.77020); and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, pursuant to Section 6.3q of the City Council Protocol Manual (adopted 11/6/19, Resolution No. 2019-223), the City Attorney is hereby authorized to make minor revisions to the above -referenced document(s) that do not alter the compensation or term, and to make clerical corrections as necessary.
