HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 2023-111RESOLUTION NO. 2023-111 A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH TELSTAR INSTRUMENTS, OF CONCORD, FOR SUPERVISORY CONTROL AND DATA ACQUISITION AND INSTRUMENTATION, MAINTENANCE, AND INTEGRATION SERVICES WHEREAS, the City owns and operates a number of water and wastewater facilities, which include the Surface Water Treatment Facility, the White Slough Water Pollution Control Facility, 28 groundwater wells, 17 storm water pumping stations, and 10 sewer lift stations; and WHEREAS, all of these facilities utilize a computer -monitored alarm response, control, and data acquisition system, commonly referred to as a supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system; and WHEREAS, the scope of work for the agreement includes calibration and trouble- shooting for hydraulic and analytical instrumentation at water and wastewater facilities, on-call emergency services, and SCADA integration services for various new and existing stormwater, water, and wastewater facilities, as needed; and WHEREAS, staff recommends authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement with Telstar Instruments, of Concord, for supervisory control and data acquisition and instrumentation, maintenance, and integration services, in the amount of $225,000. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Lodi City Council does hereby authorize the City Manager to execute an agreement with Telstar Instruments, of Concord, California, for supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) and instrumentation, maintenance, and integration services, in the amount of $225,000 over the three-year term; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, pursuant to Section 6.3q of the City Council Protocol Manual (adopted 11/6/19, Resolution No. 2019-223), the City Attorney is hereby authorized to make minor revisions to the above -referenced document(s) that do not alter the compensation or term, and to make clerical corrections as necessary.
