HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgenda Report - April 4, 2001 E-18AGENDA TITLE: Approve Rental Agreement with U. S. Pipeline, Inc., for 1314 East Lodi Avenue for
Construction Equipment Storage for Lodi Gas Storage Project
MEETING DATE: April 4, 2001
PREPARED BY: Public Works Director
RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council approve a rental agreement with U.S. Pipeline, Inc.,
for 1314 East Lodi Avenue for construction equipment storage for Lodi
Gas Storage Project.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: U. S. Pipeline, Inc., the contractor doing the Lodi Gas Storage
Project, has requested that they be allowed to use approximately
two acres of the City's future Municipal Service Center -East site on
East Lodi Avenue. Because of its location next to the Central
California Traction Company track, the contractor can bring in their
equipment and materials by rail, off-load, and use this site for
storage.
They have estimated that they will use the property for approximately three to six months. The size of
the parcel they are renting is 200' by 400'. A temporary security fence will be erected around the site
and the company has furnished the City with insurance and a security bond covering the restoration of
the site after they no longer need it. Their use of the property will not interfere in any City operations.
U.S. Pipelines, Inc. will be paying the City $500 per month for the use of this property.
