HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgenda Report - April 4, 2001 E-11CITY OF LODI COUNCIL COMMUNICATION Q<t FORS AGENDA TITLE: Accept Improvements Under Contract for Lodi Library Computer Room Remodel, 201 West Locust Street, and Notification of Final Contract Change Orders MEETING DATE: April 4, 2001 PREPARED BY: Public Works Director RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council accept the improvements under the "Lodi Library Computer Room Remodel" contract and direct the City Engineer to file a Notice of Completion with the County Recorder's office. Also, in accordance with the Contract Change Order Policy, the City Council is being informed of change orders approved by the City Manager for this project. BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The project was awarded to D. S. Clark, General Contractor, of Lodi, on November 15, 2000, in the amount of $18,700.00. The contract has been completed in substantial conformance with the plans and specifications approved by the City Council. The contract completion date was January 17, 2001, and the actual completion date was January 29, 2001. The final contract price was $20,883.00. The difference between the contract amount and the final contract price is due to three change orders totaling $2,183.00. More detailed descriptions and backup information for these change orders are available in the Public Works Department. Change Order No. 1 - This change order is for the addition of electrical and data conduit to the project. ($1,060.00) Change Order No. 2 - This change order is for adding wooden baseboard and one electrical outlet. ($393.00) Change Order No. 3 - This change order covered the cost to add two more 1" conduits and two duplex outlets for electrical and future data cabling. ($730.00) FUNDING: There are sufficient funds budgeted, as shown below, to cover these three change orders.
