HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 2023-64RESOLUTION NO. 2023-64 A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AMENDMENT NO. 3 TO THE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH CIVIC PLUS, OF MANHATTAN, KANSAS, FOR ADDITIONAL SMS SUBSCRIPTIONS AND TECHNICAL TRAINING FOR STAFF; AND FURTHER RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 2023-34 WHEREAS, the City entered into a Professional Services Agreement with Civic Plus, Inc., in February 2018 for the redesign, development, and hosting of the City's website; and WHEREAS, Civic Plus offers texting and alerting services to deliver SMS notices to staff and citizens who enroll to receive updates on the website and City services; and WHEREAS, the City experienced an influx of citizens enrolling to receive SMS notifications during a Citywide electrical power incident in 2022; and WHEREAS, the City has experienced significant staff turnover in positions responsible for the content on the City's website and would benefit from technical training by Civic Plus; and WHEREAS, staff recommends that the City Council approve Amendment No. 3 to the Professional Services Agreement with Civic Plus for the purchase of additional SMS subscriptions and technical training for new City staff responsible for the City's website content; and WHEREAS, on February 15, 2023, Council adopted Resolution No. 2023-34 approving Amendment No. 3 for the purchase of additional SMS subscriptions and technical training for City staff responsible for the City's website content. The resolution reflected an incorrect contract amount, and staff recommends that City Council rescind Resolution No. 2023-34. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Lodi City Council does hereby authorize the City Manager to execute Amendment No. 3 to the Professional Services Agreement with Civic Plus, of Manhattan, Kansas, for the purchase of additional SMS subscriptions and technical training, in the amount of $7,600. There is no impact to the General Fund from this project. Funding for the SMS subscriptions and technical training for City staff come from the Information Technology 2022-23 budget, 10020400.72450; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Lodi City Council does hereby rescind Resolution No. 2023-34; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, pursuant to Section 6.3q of the City Council Protocol Manual (adopted 11/6/19, Resolution No. 2019-223), the City Attorney is hereby authorized to make minor revisions to the above -referenced document(s) that do not alter the compensation or term, and to make clerical corrections as necessary.
