Subject: Compostable Bags In "Green Can"
I have contacted WM regarding using compostable bags in our "Green Can" and they were "not sure" if we can use
them.
I would like to propose that Lodi residents be allowed to use "bpi certified Compostable" (ASTM D6400).
My son, who lives in Dublin, CA is using such bags and they use these type of small bags for food scraps.

Subject: Drug Trafficking on & around Main Street in Lodi
THIS IS ADDRESSED TO ALL MAJOR PLAYERS OF THE NOW SITTING LODI CITY COUNCIL 2023.
FOR TOO LONG MANY HAVE STOOD BY AND WATCHED AS LODI PD, LODI CITY COUNCIL, THE
EAST SIDE IMPROVEMENT COMMITEE AND THE " SO - CALLED NEW COMMITTEE YOU HAVE
FORMED TO MILL ABOUT LODI TO MAKE SURE THAT THE HOMELESS WERE'NT MAKING A
NUISANCE OF THEMSELVES OR BECOMING AN EYESORE ... BUT WHAT YOU LACK IN THAT
DEPARTMENT, YOU SURE MISSED THE MARK WHEN IT COMES TO ENDING THE ISSUE OF
DRUG TRAFFICKING ON MAIN STREET. IT IS A DAILY OCCURENCE FROM EARLY MORNING TIL
LATE IN THE EVENING, AND YOUR LOCAL POLICE FORCE DOES' NT SEEM TO GIVE A TINKER'S
DAMN ONE WAY OR ANOTHER. SO I GOT TO THINKING ... WHY ?? WHY DON'T THEY CARE?
WHY ARE'NT THEY STOPPING THE DEALERS FROM SELLING THEIR WARES IN AND OUT OF
THE HOTELS THAT LINE THE STREET THERE? UNLESS THE CITY GOVERNMENT IS CORRUPT
AND CHOOSES TO LOOK THE OTHER WAY?? YOU HAVE A SITTING MEMBER WHO WAS
ARRESTED ON CHARGES OF FRAUD AND MONEY LAUNDERING, GOD KNOWS WHAT ELSE, THE
DELUXE HOTEL IS OWNED AND RUN BY MEMBERS OF THE PATEL CRIME FAMILY. THEY
KNOW WHAT'S TAKING PLACE, AND THEY LOOK THE OTHER WAY JUST SO THEY CAN GET
RENT MONEY. IVE LIVED HERE SINCE 2001. IN THAT TIME, IVE SEEN TWO GANG SHOOTINGS,
SEEN NUMEROUS PROSTITUTES COME IN AND OUT, SEEN NUMEROUS OVERDOSES AND ALOT
OF THOSE OD'S DID'NT SURVIVE. I SAW A YOUNG MAN RUN FROM PD, GO UP THE STAIRS TO
HIS ROOM AND JUMP FROM A SECOND STORY WINDOW AND WIND UP WITH HIS HEAD
SMASHED ON THE PAVEMENT!! EVERY MORNING THERE ARE HOMELESS PEOPLE WHO CAN'T
AFFORD A HOME BUT CAN BE HERE AT 6AM TO GET A FIX ... AND BE HERE AT DINNER TIME TO
GET ANOTHER AND HANG OUTSIDE THE DOORS IN THE COLD DOING THEIR DRUGS,
KNOWING THERE ARE CAMERAS WATCHING BUT THEY DON'T CARE. WELL (I) DO!!! I LIVE
HERE AND I HAVE THE RIGHT AS A TENANT TO BE ABLE TO LEAVE TO GO TO THE STORE OR
GO FOR A WALK, AND COME BACK WITHOUT HAVING TO SEE THESE PEOPLE SITTING OR
STANDING IN FRONT WITH A NEEDLE IN THEIR ARM .... OR A CRACK PIPE IN THEIR MOUTH!!!
IM SICK OF IT!! IF YOU DON'T GET UP OFF YOUR BUTTS AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT, AND
SOON ... IM GOING TO GO TO EVERY NEWSPAPER INTHIS COUNTY AND THE NEXT ONES OVER,
AND EVERY MEDIA OUTLET THAT WILL LISTEN, OF JUST WHAT A JOKE YOUR CITY COUNCIL
IS, THAT YOU LACK MORALS, THAT YOU HIDE CORRUPT INDIVIDUALS IN YOUR COUNCIL
AND CONDONE THEIR BEHAVIOR, WHATEVER I NEED TO DO TO GET THEM TO LISTEN.

Subject: Blend Ultra Lounge
Hello,
I wanted to send a quick email regarding Blend. I have visited Blend several times and I have enjoyed it every
time that I have gone. It has been a safe and pleasant environment every time I visited and watched a show.
Blend has brought together a great community of performers (as well as people who enjoy live entertainment)
who might not have a space to showcase their talents otherwise. I have made new friends and enjoyed watching
the shows at Blend in a safe and pleasant environment with friendly staff. The owners have created a
comfortable space for several communities who are there to enjoy watching a fun show and relaxing with others
who have common interests. I would like to continue supporting this venue and the performers who have
brightened my week (and the week of others). Blend has encouraged several people from other towns to come
to Lodi and spend money, which is great to the city of Lodi and its residents. Thank you for taking the time to
read this.
Sincerely,
Cami

Subject: Drag and performing arts
To the council of the city of Lodi;
I am writing to show my support for drag as part of the performing arts in Lodi. I have been lucky enough to attend the
drag show at Blend Ultra lounge. The business is a safe haven and has provided a venue for a part of the community that
is often over looked, myself included. Drag is often perceived as being negative for a variety of reasons. However, drag is
SO much bigger than the outside perception of it or the picture that the media paints. Drag is a form of self expression, a
dialogue on gender and society, and an opportunity for the performer to artistically comment of current events and
topics. It is NOT merely gender impersonation. It would be such a shame to close this type of performative art out of the
community simply because of the perception that is is inherently sexual or perverse (which it is not). I encourage anyone
who has negative feeling about drag to attend a show wether it is in Lodi or somewhere else.
As for Blend as a business, they have been incredibly supportive. I do not drink at all, so my only reason for coming is to
watch the show and support the artist. If the city of Lodi would chose to ban drag, I would see it as a reflection of a
narrow minded community in which I have no place doing business.
Thank you for your time

To Whom It May Concern,
My name is Kai Sadler (They/He), I am 27 years old, and I identify as a Genderfluid person.
When I sat down to write this email, I wracked my brain for a while trying to put into words how much of an impact
that Blend Ultra Lounge in Lodi has had, not only on my Drag career, but in my personal life as well. I cannot
speak for other people, I can however share my own experiences at the bar.
I started performing at Blend in June of 2021. 1 was just starting out as a Drag King; it is very well known in the
Drag scene how difficult (especially as a Drag King) it is to be booked at local venues due to discrimination within
the queer community. The performers at Blend welcomed me with open arms and gave me a safe, judgment
free, and supportive space to try out different types of songs, costuming and overall performances that I would
not otherwise feel comfortable performing somewhere else. I have also made so many long lasting and
meaningful connections to fellow Drag artists and patrons at the bar. I always look forward to Wednesday nights
when I can shake off the mid -week work blues and lose myself in the peaceful atmosphere.
The people that I've met, the friends that I have made, the support that I have found has helped to shape myself
and others into the individuals that we are today. If it wasn't for the opportunities like the ones that I got from
Blend, I would have never been able to explore my masculine side, and therefore would've never finally had the
courage to accept myself as a transgender individual. If it wasn't for my experiences at Blend, I wouldn't be the
caliber of Drag King that people have come to know and appreciate. Blend Ultra Lounge is my home.
Now my home is under attack.
A barrage of ignorance and hate threatens to destroy one of the few places where everyone (queer and not) can
come together and celebrate inclusivity, diversity, and community.
When it comes down to it, we just want a safe space where we can express ourselves and celebrate as one the
long standing tradition of Drag in the queer community. By shutting down this establishment, you are taking away
a place that we can truly feel safe and surrounded by love; a brief escape from the sidelong glances and social
ostracization that we face every day.
I please ask you to put aside any hesitations and preemptive stereotypes you may have about the queer
community, and see us as humans just trying to find a home in a world that is already against us.
Respectfully Yours,
Kai Sadler

Subject: Blend Ultra Lounge - Lodi, CA
To whom it may concern,
My name is Corrina Akiko Yamamoto and I am a regular patron of Blend Ultra Lounge in Lodi, California. Blend Ultra Lounge
provides a safe haven to your community. It's the one place in Sacramento/Lodi I feel comfortable in and I regularly commute to Lodi
from Sacramento just to go to events at Blend. The bar staff is friendly and welcoming. They know me by name and check on me
throughout the night to make sure I'm feeling safe, happy, and taken care of. They make it easy to go to a bar as a person who doesn't
drink a lot of alcohol but wants to support the local performance art community. I never feel pressured to drink more and they always
make sure I have water and food available to me. I've never had a bad experience even with fellow patrons.
They're good people who truly want the best for the community. They created a safe place for performers and patrons alike to feel at
home. I've met nurses, doctors, teachers, therapists, stay at home moms, farmers, chefs, warehouse workers, construction workers, and
so many more just by frequenting this business. I've been able to share ideas with people I never would have met had I not commuted
from Sacramento.
I want to continue going to Lodi and I want to continue to give this city money through patronage of it's local businesses. Blend gives
me a reason to come to Lodi. I know plenty of people who commute in from the surrounding cities just to attend events at Blend
because it is truly a fun and easy place to be. Please consider how many people would lose their place to decompress from long days
of hard work. This city needs a place like Blend so that Lodi can have a safe night life.

Greetings,
My name is Ron Vincent Deiz, and I am one of the many attendees and residential performers of the establishment. It
has come to my concern that the place where I call home is now under intensive scrutiny. I want to start off by saying,
Blend is a home for Queerfolk. It has been a safe haven for not only me but others a -like. Yes it can be quite confusing
for individuals that are not queer, it can also be quite scary for those who do not understand, however Blend & the
event SlayHaus have always been inclusive and have always welcomed people of all walks of life. We give those the
opportunity to get to understand who we are and where we're coming from. We do not shun and isolate people from
getting to know who we are, in fact we're accepting to all, queer or not. I feel at straight bars you are more likely to get
harassed and assaulted, as for Blends environment it feels more safer to patrons, & that's being said by multiple
patrons. I would hate to see Blend and SlayHaus become reprimanded, because the Queerfolk will know of this injustice,
and you will hear from all of us.

Slay haus/Drag shows
I am writing to ask you to please keep Slayhaus in Lodi. This show is the only one of its kind in the area. This
venue gives the lgbtq+ community a place to perform and come together as a community. Without it we would
be forced to find other avenues to express ourselves.
This show/venue means a lot to the community. Seeing as it's a 21+ establishment, there are no children
present, and as adults, people can choose where they go for their night life. This is ours, and our only one for
miles.
Please keep this in mind.
Thank you,
A concerned citizen and lgbtq+ community member.

Drag Show at The Blend
Lodi is a lovely little town with a growing nightlife and entertainment industry.
It's been nice after so much isolation and separation to be able to have a fun place to go, have a drink, socialize,
and watch an artistic show with great music.
These nights are adult/21+, devoid of nudity, and away from residential housing, so I truly hope we can keep
something enjoyable when it's not disturbing or harming anyone.
Drag has been a staple in our entertainment and pop culture long before any of us got here (Some Like It Hot is
still considered an American classic), and we really hope it can stay that way.
Thank you for your time!

Hello. My name is Eliot Stearns. I am a regular of the bar scene in Lodi. And I frequent Blend Ultra Lounge. I am
opposed to regulation against Blend Ultra Lounge to force them to require half their sales to be through food.
Blend Ultra Lounge is the most orderly bar in Lodi with professional security and bouncer staff. I have never even seen a
fight at Blend. Blend is a cornerstone to the arts scene of Lodi with weekly entertainment shows. Out of all the bars in
Lodi, Blend is where I have the most memories, I met the best friendships, and I feel the safest.
Please allow Blend to be a bar and not force the business to make half its sales in food. Lodi needs nightlife, and I have a
lot of pleasant memories and friendships because of Blend Ultra Lounge.

The Blend Ultra Lounge is a truly important place for a huge section of our citizens in Lodi. I perform and host
at Slayhaus, a bi-monthly drag show at the Blend. The space has been such a joy filled and loving environment

Please allow us to keep growing and building a better and more positive space for queer adults in Lodi and the

The very first time I was invited here,I didn't know what to expect. I'd never gone to a drag show before. It
only took one show to convince me that I needed to go as much as possible. I got to know and befriend people I
never would've encountered in my everyday life. It made me want to be less of a homebody and learn to
enjoy myself outside, with friends and potential friends. There's people like me,who don't like to travel long
distances for food and entertainment, that would like to continue seeing this show at this location with the same
people that I've grown close to.
It's not hurting anyone for this place to exist,in fact,it's helping people in so many different ways. A few would
be that it's showing people that it's *okay* to be different. It's *okay* to be yourself and do things that you
love. You don't have to think about your day to day job when you come here, whether you're a performer or in
the audience, you just get to have fun. People get to see downtown Lodi and it could show everyone else that's
never been new locations to visit next time they're around the area.
band so many others, love this place. Please hear us out. Please listen to our experiences, and our pleas.

Outrage over the Unjustified Killing of a Dog by Lodi Police
I am writing to express my deep disappointment and anger over the recent video that has surfaced of a Lodi police
officer killing a dog by tazer. This act of cruelty and violence is absolutely unacceptable, should be criminal, and I
demand that the city take immediate action to address this issue.
As a concerned resident and animal lover, I am horrified that a member of the Lodi police force would use such
excessive force against an innocent and defenseless animal. This behavior is unacceptable and goes against the
principles of humane treatment of living things.
I am also concerned about the larger issue of police brutality and the use of excessive force by law enforcement. This
incident clearly highlights the need for better training and accountability for police officers.
I demand that the city conduct a thorough investigation into this incident and take the strongest possible appropriate
action to ensure that this type of behavior is never repeated. I also request that the city implement better training and
policies to ensure the humane treatment of animals by law enforcement.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to a prompt and satisfactory resolution.
Sincerely,
Zac

Dear Council of Lodi,
I want to express my outrage and heartbreak to hear how a family pet was killed at the hands of city employees (police,

The total disregard for life, took this Husky's life with little thought, care, or concern for this sentient soul or the people

It's an absolute sin that an accident resulted in loss of life.
If anyone of you had a pet that accidentally slipped out of your home or yard and you went looking for it, how would you

Please -please take appropriate action so this doesn't happen again.
Too much unnecessary suffering occurs when people act in fear, adrenaline or disregard for life!!

Dear Lodi Council Members
While I cannot be at the meeting this evening I wanted to share my disgust and heartbreak over the incident
with Enzo the 2 yr old husky.
While I am typically a huge supporter of the police, I cannot fathom what led to the absolute barbaric torture
and death of a family pet at the hands of 4 of your employees (Ivey, Kranich, Delgado and Garcia). Based on
video and several eye eyewitnesses there was no evidence of Enzo physically hurting anyone or being
"aggressive". It appears on video that Enzo was standing calmly in the street most likely looking to humans for
help in getting home when your officers ATTACKED him. Imagine how scared he was and why was he
bleeding??
I have been TRAUMATIZED for days over that video thanks to your incompetent and cowardly officers Mr
Ivey and Mr Kranich.
Unless there is sworn testimony of enzo "attacking" and evidence of "dog bites" provided by people NOT
related to or friends of your PD, these officers need to be prosecuted.
What type of city condones torture and murder of a family pet in front of neighbors and children?? The
witnesses were telling the officers that Enzo was friendly and yet they killed him anyway what the hell is wrong
with them??
As a RN and dog lover it's shocking to me that none of the witnesses physically intervened. I'm proud to say I
would have because good people stand up for the defenseless when being tortured by bullies!!
I wish I had never seen that video. Mr Ivey the taser happy coward's image is seared in my brain for life. In
addition to the out of shape backyard breeder Mr Kranich who was apparently not fit enough to operate a catch
pole and thinks adult tasers are ok for a dog, yet works for animal control??
We demand justice for Enzo and his family.
All the 100s of thousands of people who saw that video should sue the City of Lodi for emotional distress.
Shame on the Lodi PD.
Sincerely,
Michelle

Subject: My statement for tonight's council meeting regarding the husky that was killed by
police officers
My name is Michelle. I live in SLC Utah. I am from the Bay Area and I am familiar with the Lodi and
surrounding areas.
Officer Timothy Ivey broke the law. Anyone who's worked with animals should know that you do NOT use a
taser on a dog! It's lethal for them! He literally tased this dog to death. A witness video of Enzo the husky
getting continually tased while being dragged on the ground by ACO Jordan Kranich, is currently circulating
the internet, and has reached to international countries, causing worldwide outrage. Timothy Ivey and Jordan
Kranich broke California Penal Code 597 which is defined as: (a) Anyone who intentionally maims, tortures,
wounds, or kills an animal is guilty of a crime punishable by imprisonment in a California state prison, a fine
$20,000, or both!
I don't need to wait to hear the other side of this story to know that this wasn't handled correctly and protocol
was not followed. I've worked in an animal shelter, with ACO's! I've also worked in animal care. Animal
control is supposed to follow protocol, which is to take the dog to the shelter and place the dog in bite
quarantine, and observe the dogs behavior. If they deem the dog too dangerous to be released to owners due to
risk, they HUMANELY euthanize the dog by injection. INSTEAD, Officer Timothy Ivey and ACO Jordan
Kranich INHUMANELY killed Enzo on the streets, in public, in front of children! Protocol wasn't followed.
I'm asking for immediate grounds for suspension of job duties for ACO Jordan Kranich and Timothy ivey for
breaking the penal code law, and for criminal charges brought forth against them. I as others, the world, will be
awaiting proof that Enzo was aggressively attacking and chasing a family and their children. #justiceforEnzo

The actions you take are being watched by tens of thousands of people —will you stand for justice, or continue paying a

his brutality?
Not only should they be fired, they should be convicted of felony animal abuse!

Dear city of Lodi council members,
The three who murdered this innocent dog as he stood wagging his tail:
Jordan Kranich
Timothy Ivey
Chris Delgado
Need to be permanently fired and charged with animal cruelty. They need to be held accountable for their vile actions.
They murdered someone's innocent pet who was trying to find his way home. Multiple reports have mentioned how
friendly and happy he was and came to them and wanted pets and was wagging his tail when all officers arrived, the dog
was not a threat at all. The animal control officer should have used his tools correctly and he failed to do so. The police
didn't need to be called. If the animal control officer from Lodi would have caught the dog correctly with his catch and
release pole then the dog would have been taken safely to the shelter for safety. But no, the animal control officer didn't
do his job at all and had the police kill him so he could actually capture him only because he was tasered to death just
seconds before that. I do not feel the city of Lodi is safe with the 3 officers as mentioned above. They don't serve and
protect. They kill and murder and that isn't keeping the town safe. That is straight up abusing their power and such
behaviors should have consequences. Thank you for reading my email and I really hope you all do the right thing.

Subject: Dog killing by Lodi PD
As a concerned citizen, I am demanding the firing of Timothy Ivey, Chris Delgado and Jordan Kranich. These
individuals are a danger to society.
As seen in the video which has been viewed millions of times by people all over the world, Timothy Ivey
inflicted pain on a calm family dog, killing him in broad daylight in front of several residents of Lodi which
includes a frightened little girl. Ivey tased the dog twice. He kept the taser activated on already downed dog for
what seemed like 10 seconds. You can see in the video that he even seems like he is enjoying torturing the
innocent helpless dog. Delgado, who is also seen in the video, defends Ivey's action saying the dog "attacked
people", which is a complete lie. There are witnesses who kept an eye on the lost dog until Ivey, Delgado and
Kranich arrived at the scene where Ivey brutally murdered the dog, and they saw no aggression from the dog, in
fact the dog was friendly. There are video proofs shot from multiple angles that Ivey just walked up to the dog
that was calmly standing, looking up at him and seconds later Ivey starts teasing the dog for NO REASON. This
execution video is undeniably horrifying to watch. I would say many people have been traumatized by this
image. I am one of them. I have not being able to eat or sleep. I keep hearing the sound of the taser and the
whining sound the dog made when the taser stopped the second time and probably shortly before he took his
last breath. I honestly don't know how Ivey, Delgado and Kranich sleep at night. I would like you all to imagine
Ivey electrocuting YOUR non-aggressive family dog in front of you, then ask yourself if you wouldn't want
Ivey to be held accountable for it. It's time we stop letting police officers get away with violent crimes. As for
Kranich, he should be banned from working with animals and the dogs he is selling should be confiscated.
There was a Facebook post about the sales of puppies, but he deleted it. His wife should be punished as well for
making a false report about a loose "aggressive dog".

Dear Council Members,
As a concerned citizen, I am demanding the firing of Timothy Ivey, Chris Delgado, and Jordan Kranich. These individuals
are a danger to Lodi and their citizens.
I think that if they can be so callous toward an animal who was obviously someone's lost pet, they are not fit to serve. It
was not a high pressure situation. This could have been handled in a different way and a family dog would not be dead.
Thank you for your consideration.
