HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 2023-43RESOLUTION NO. 2023-43 A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR THE LODI STATION PARKING GARAGE REPAIR PROJECT TO TPA CONSTRUCTION, INC., OF ROSEVILLE; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE CHANGE ORDERS; AND FURTHER APPROPRIATING FUNDS WHEREAS, in June 2022, a vehicle hit the concrete wall barrier on the third floor of the parking structure and caused extensive damage to the barrier and the concrete floor; and WHEREAS, this project includes the replacement of the damaged concrete parking barrier, reset of the post -tension steel cable, and other incidental and related work as shown on the plans and specifications of the project; and WHEREAS, specifications for this project were approved on December 21, 2022. The City received the following bids for this project on February 1, 2023: Bidder TPA Construction, Inc. Capital Industrial Restoration Diede Construction, Inc. Swierstok Enterprise, Inc. (Pro Builders) Stratus Construction Above/(Below) Location Bid Estimate Roseville $72,000 ($10,000) Rancho Cordova $85,200 $3,200 Woodbridge $106,093 $24,093 Orangevale $128,000 $46,000 Stockton $163,000 $81,000 WHEREAS, staff recommends awarding the contract for the Lodi Station Parking Garage Repair Project to TPA Construction, Inc., of Roseville, in the amount of $72,000, and authorizing the City Manager to execute change orders in an amount not to exceed $20,000; and WHEREAS, staff further recommends appropriating funds in the amount of $110,000 to the Transportation Development Act Funds PWTR-22003 (60199000.77020). NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Lodi City Council does hereby award the contract for the Lodi Station Parking Garage Repair Project to TPA Construction, Inc., of Roseville, California, in the amount of $72,000; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Lodi City Council does hereby authorize the City Manager to execute the contract and change orders in an amount not to exceed $20,000; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Lodi City Council does hereby appropriate funds in the amount of $110,000 to the Transportation Development Act Funds PWTR-22003 (60199000.77020); and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, pursuant to Section 6.3q of the City Council Protocol Manual (adopted 11/6/19, Resolution No. 2019-223), the City Attorney is hereby authorized to make minor revisions to the above -referenced document(s) that do not alter the compensation or term, and to make clerical corrections as necessary.
