RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council accept the improvements under the Electric Utility
Substructures, Turner Road/McLane Substation contract and direct the
Electric Utility Director to file a notice of completion with the County
Recorder's Office.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The contract was awarded to Golden State Utility Company, Turlock,
California on March 1, 2000, in the amount of $304,999. Subsequently
approved change orders and final contract adjustments as approved by the
City Council on November 15, 2000, make the final contract price $529,601.46. The contract has been completed in
substantial conformance with the plans and specifications approved by the City Council. The contract completion date
was February 14, 2001.
FUNDING: This project was funded through the Department's 1999-2001 Financial Plan and Budget, Distribution
System Improvement and Substation Construction (pages E-26 and E-28)
