HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 2022-224RESOLUTION NO. 2022-224 A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL ADDING ONE CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE POSITION IN THE INTERNAL SERVICES DEPARTMENT; AND FURTHER APROPRIATING FUNDS WHEREAS, the City of Lodi has experienced historic growth in new residential units the past five years which has resulted in a significant and substantial increase in new utility accounts; and WHEREAS, there has been substantial increase in service demands due to new State regulations on organic waste and a new program to curb waste overage through charges on commercial offenders; and WHEREAS, the Finance Division of the Internal Services Department is staffed with Customer Service Representatives who provide front counter customer service that includes a variety of utility account support services, including collections; and WHEREAS, the Customer Service Representatives have experienced increased workloads which has impacted the quantity of work and service levels; and WHEREAS, the addition of one Customer Service Representative will enable staff to service the utility accounts by providing customer service in-person or over the phone. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Lodi City Council does hereby approve the addition of one Customer Service Representative position in the Internal Services Department; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Lodi City Council does hereby appropriate funds in the amount of $67,800 to 10020203.71001 from the General Fund fund balance.
