HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 2022-252RESOLUTION NO. 2022-252 A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENTS WITH 4 LEAF, INC., OF PLEASANTON; INTERWEST CONSULTING GROUP, INC., OF ROSEVILLE; BUREAU VERITAS NORTH AMERICA, INC., OF SACRAMENTO; BPR CONSULTING GROUP, LLC, OF EL DORADO HILLS; AND CSG CONSULTANTS, INC., OF SACRAMENTO, FOR BUILDING CODES PLANS EXAMINING, BUILDING CODES INSPECTION, FIRE CODES PLANS EXAMINING, FIRE CODES INSPECTION, AND CODE ENFORCEMENT SERVICES WHEREAS, in August 2022, staff requested written quotes from five companies that can provide the required services for building codes plans examining, building codes inspection, fire codes plans examining, fire codes inspection, and code enforcement services. All five submitted the required documentation; and WHEREAS, the Building and Safety Division relies on outside consultants to provide professional building industry services on an as -needed basis, and there is a need for multiple contracts to ensure availability. Staff has been operating with contracts that will terminate on October 31, 2022; and WHEREAS, execution of the agreements does not obligate the City to use the services, but offers the flexibility in providing the best service to the public. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Lodi City Council does hereby authorize the City Manager to execute two-year Professional Services Agreements with two optional two-year extensions with 4 Leaf, Inc., of Pleasanton, California; Interwest Consulting Group, Inc., of Roseville, California; Bureau Veritas North America, Inc., of Sacramento, California; BPR Consulting Group, LLC, of EI Dorado Hills, California; and CSG Consultants, Inc., of Sacramento, California, for building codes plans examining, building codes inspection, fire codes plans examining, fire codes inspection, and code enforcement services, in an amount not to exceed $1,200,000 over the possible six-year term; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, pursuant to Section 6.3q of the City Council Protocol Manual (adopted 11/6/19, Resolution No. 2019-223), the City Attorney is hereby authorized to make minor revisions to the above -referenced document(s) that do not alter the compensation or term, and to make clerical corrections as necessary.
