BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The previous turf at the Grape Bowl was installed in April of 2010. Routine analysis of the existing field playability and safety requirements of the surface showed the turf had met its life span of 10-12 years. Field Turf USA, Inc. of Montreal, Quebec was selected through a CMAS contract in the amount of $759,686.38. The final amount of the contract is $764,024.78 as a time and material change order was added to address raising existing utility concreate aprons on the south side -line areas. The project included removal and replacement of over 90,000 square feet of synthetic turf and included inlaid soccer and football game line markings, silica sand and true blend coated cork infill mixture. Work also included drain rock and quarry replacement and grading, along with new field grooming equipment, painting of the existing football goals and replacement of Brock drainage panels. Six (6) G -Max tests of the field shall take place on future alternating years and reports will be provided to the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department (PRCS). Work started on May 9, 2022 and was completed on July 12, 2022, 11 days ahead of schedule. Overall the project was successful in replacing the all-weather synthetic turf and addressing the depressed field locations. Following acceptance by the City Council, as required by law, the PRCS Director will file a Notice of Completion with the County Recorder's Office. The notice serves to notify Field Turf USA, Inc. that the project is complete and if applicable, begins their 30 -day period to file a stop notice requiring the City to withhold payment. Industrial Blvd, Calhoun, GA 30701 • Toll Free: 1-800-724-2969 • Website: http://www.fieldturf.com RESOLUTION NO. 2022-192 A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL ACCEPTING PROJECT UNDER CONTRACT FOR THE GRAPE BOWL TURF REPLACEMENT PROJECT WHEREAS, the previous turf at the Grape Bowl was installed in April 2010 and routine analysis of the existing field playability and safety requirements of the surface showed the turf had met its life span of 10 to 12 years; and WHEREAS, Field Turf USA, Inc., of Montreal, Quebec, was selected through a California Multiple Award Schedule Contract No. 4-06-78-0031A in the amount of $759,686.38, with a final contract amount of $764,024.78, which included a time -and -material change order to address raising existing utility concrete aprons on the south sideline areas; and WHEREAS, the scope of work included the removal and replacement of 93,714 square feet of synthetic turf, inlaid soccer and football game line markings, silica sand and true blend coated cork infill mixture, drain rock and quarry placement and grading, along with new field grooming equipment, painting of the existing football goals and replacement of brock drainage panels; and WHEREAS, the scope of work also included six G -Max tests of the field, taking place on alternating years with reporting to be provided to the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Lodi City Council does hereby accept the improvements under the contract for the Grape Bowl Turf Replacement Project; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, pursuant to Section 6.3q of the City Council Protocol Manual (Res. No. 2019-223), the City Attorney is hereby authorized to make minor revisions to the above -referenced document(s) that do not alter the compensation or term, and to make clerical corrections as necessary.
