RECOMMENDED ACTION: Post for vacancy on Library Board of Trustees and repost for vacancy on
Planning Commission.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Due to a recent resignation, there is a vacancy on the Library Board of
Trustees. It is recommended that the City Council direct the City Clerk to
post for the vacancy for a period of 30 days.
The City Council directed the City Clerk to post for one expiring term on the Planning Commission on
April 20, 2022. No applications were received and it is recommended that the City Council direct the City Clerk
to post for this vacancy until filled.
Government Code Section 54970 et seg. requires that the City Clerk post for vacancies to allow citizens
interested in serving to submit an application.

Library Board of Trustees
One vacancy — appointment to expire June 30, 2023 (remainder of 3 -year term)
Purpose: To manage the public library; set policy and budget guidelines; review
and act on proposals; and advocate programs, funding, and support of
government officials to recognize and meet the needs of the community.
Meetings: Meets the 2nd Monday of each month at 5:30 p.m.

Membership: Five members
Filing Deadline: Monday, July 18, 2022
Planning Commission
One vacancy — appointment to expire June 30, 2026 (4 -year term)
Purpose: To review changes to the City's General Plan & zoning regulations to
ensure development in Lodi is of the highest quality and provide
recommendations to Council on such matters dealing with community
development.
Meetings: Meets the 2nd & 4'" Wednesdays of each month at 7:00 p.m.
Carnegie Forum
Membership: Seven members
Filing Deadline: Until filled.
Note: Appointments will be made by the Mayor with Council approval. Applicants
must be registered to vote in San Joaquin County at the time of application.
(Exception: Applicants for Planning Commission, SPARC, or Lodi Arts
Commission must be registered to vote in the CITY OF LODI.) If appointed, you
may be required to complete a Statement of Economic Interest. These are
volunteer, unpaid positions.
