A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AMENDMENT NO. 3 TO THE PROFESSIONAL
SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH SOLENIS, LLC, OF WILMINGTON,
DELAWARE, FOR DEWATERING POLYMER AT WHITE SLOUGH WATER
POLLUTION CONTROL FACILITY
WHEREAS, the basic process of wastewater treatment is to separate solids from the
liquid waste stream, then treat those components to State standards by dewatering the solids
component of the wastewater using mechanical and chemical methods in order to be
manageable for disposal; and
WHEREAS, on March 21, 2018, Council authorized a three-year Professional Services
Agreement for dewatering polymer at White Slough Water Pollution Control Facility with Solenis,
LLC, of Wilmington, Delaware, in the amount of $560,736; Amendment No. 1 extended the term
and added $168,000 to the agreement; Amendment No. 2 extended the term to March 30,
2023; and Amendment No. 3 provides funds in the amount of $200,000 to cover polymer usage
through the end of the term of the agreement; and
WHEREAS, staff recommends the City Council authorize the City Manager to execute
Amendment No. 3 to the Professional Services Agreement with Solenis, LLC, for dewatering
polymer at White Slough Water Pollution Control Facility, in the amount of $200,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Lodi City Council does hereby
authorize the City Manager to execute Amendment No. 3 to the Professional Services
Agreement with Solenis, LLC, of Wilmington, Delaware, for dewatering polymer at White Slough
Water Pollution Control Facility, providing funds in the amount of $200,000, for a total
agreement amount of $928,736; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, pursuant to Section 6.3q of the City Council Protocol
Manual (Res. No. 2019-223), the City Attorney is hereby authorized to make minor revisions to
the above -referenced document(s) that do not alter the compensation or term, and to make
clerical corrections as necessary.
