RECOMMENDED ACTION: Adopt resolution authorizing City Manager to process payment to League
of California Cities for 2022 membership dues in the amount of $20,859.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The League of California Cities has been shaping California's political
landscape since the association was founded in 1898. Cal Cities offers
education and training programs designed to keep city officials up to date
about new developments in their field and exchange solutions to common challenges facing cities. As
Members, the City of Lodi has access to unmatched advocacy, timely communication about the latest policy
issues and legislative developments, the chance to shape statewide policy, and access to cutting-edge
professional development opportunities
The membership dues for calendar year 2022 is $20,859 based on Lodi's official population of 68,751.
FISCAL IMPACT: Not to exceed $20,859.

RESOLUTION NO. 2022-80
A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO PROCESS PAYMENT TO
LEAGUE OF CALIFORNIA CITIES FOR 2022 MEMBERSHIP DUES
WHEREAS, the City of Lodi is a member of the League of California Cities; and
WHEREAS, the League of California Cities has been shaping California's
political landscape since the association was founded in 1898. Cal Cities offers
education and training programs designed to keep city officials up to date about new
developments in their field and exchange solutions to common challenges facing cities;
and
WHEREAS, as a member, the City of Lodi has access to unmatched advocacy,
timely communication about the latest policy issues and legislative developments, the
chance to shape statewide policy, and access to cutting-edge professional development
opportunities; and
WHEREAS, the membership dues for calendar year 2022 in the amount of
$20,859 is based on Lodi's official population of 68,751.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Lodi City Council does hereby
authorize the City Manager to process payment to the League of California Cities for the
2022 Membership Dues in an amount not to exceed $20,859.
