RECOMMENDED ACTION Post for expiring terms on Lodi Improvement Committee and
vacancy for Greater Lodi Area Youth Commission Adult Advisor.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: There are three expiring terms on the Lodi Improvement Committee.
It is recommended that the City Council direct the City Clerk to post
for these vacancies for a period of 30 days. Due to a recent
resignation, there is another vacancy for one Greater Lodi Area Youth Commission Adult Advisor. It is
recommended that the City Council direct the City Clerk to post for this vacancy until filled.
Government Code Section 54970 et seg. requires that the City Clerk post for vacancies to allow citizens
interested in serving to submit an application.

the coordinated efforts of a broad spectrum of the community.
Meetings: Meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m.

Adult Advisor
One vacancy — appointment to expire May 31, 2025 (3 -year term)
Purpose: To affect positive growth in young adults through a variety of activities
that will generate interest and participation within the community.
Meetings. Meets the 2nd Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m.
Cottage Room at Hutchins Street Square
Membership: Six Adult Advisors and Nine Student Members
Filing Deadline: Open until filled.
Note: Appointments will be made by the Mayor with Council approval. Applicants
must be registered to vote in San Joaquin County at the time of application.
(Exception: Applicants for Planning Commission, SPARC, or Lodi Arts
Commission must be registered to vote in the CITY OF LODI.) If appointed, you
may be required to complete a Statement of Economic Interest. These are
volunteer, unpaid positions.
