BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Tree Lodi, a local nonprofit organization committed to preserving and enhancing our urban forest, provides many benefits to the City of Lodi through education, volunteerism, and tree planting. Tree Lodi, in partnership with the City of Lodi's Electric Utility, launched the Lodi Shade Tree Project with the goals of increasing the City's urban canopy, reducing energy consumption, and increasing property values, resident health, and community pride.
