A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH
NJ ASSOCIATES, INC., OF LODI, FOR ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN SERVICES

WHEREAS, the Community Development Department has a need for architectural
design services for special projects, including, but not limited to, the Access Center; and
WHEREAS, NJ Associates ("NJA") has been fundamental in several key projects and
has been working with staff during the site selection for the Access Center and
Harmony Homes; and
WHEREAS, homelessness and affordable housing are high priority initiatives at all levels
of government; and
WHEREAS, NJA is a local business that produces quality work; and
WHEREAS, both current and future grant funds will be utilized to support this contract
with no General Fund impact; and
WHEREAS, staff recommends that the City Council authorize the City Manager to
execute an eighteen -month Professional Services Agreement with a one-year extension option
with NJ Associates, Inc., of Lodi, a California Corporation, which will be effective July 1, 2021.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Lodi City Council does hereby
authorize the City Manager to execute an eighteen -month Professional Services Agreement
with a one-year extension option with NJ Associates, Inc., of Lodi, a California Corporation, in
an amount not to exceed $125,000, with an effective date of July 1, 2021; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, pursuant to Section 6.3q of the City Council Protocol
Manual (adopted 11/6/19, Resolution No. 2019-223), the City Attorney is hereby authorized to
make minor revisions to the above -referenced document(s) that do not alter the compensation
or term, and to make clerical corrections as necessary.
