City Clerk RECOMMENDED ACTION: Appoint Marjory Schrenk to the Lodi Senior Citizens Commission and post for vacancy on the Greater Lodi Area Youth Commission — Adult Advisor. BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The City Council directed the City Clerk to post for one vacancy on the Lodi Senior Citizens' Commission on August 4, 2021. The Mayor reviewed the applications, conducted interviews, and recommends that the City Council concur with the appointment as detailed below. The City Council directed the City Clerk to post for one vacancy on the Greater Lodi Area Youth Commission — Adult Advisor on August 18, 2021. Only one application was received, and staff recommends reposting the vacancy until filled. Government Code Section 54970 et sec.. requires that the City Clerk post for vacancies to allow citizens interested in serving to submit an application. The Youth Commission meets on the 2nd Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Cottage Room at Hutchins Street Square, and consists of 6 adult advisors and 9 student members. Applications are now being accepted to fill one (1) vacancy, which is due to expire May 31, 2024.
