RECOMMENDED ACTION: Appoint Marjory Schrenk to the Lodi Senior Citizens Commission
and post for vacancy on the Greater Lodi Area Youth Commission —
Adult Advisor.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The City Council directed the City Clerk to post for one vacancy on
the Lodi Senior Citizens' Commission on August 4, 2021.
The Mayor reviewed the applications, conducted interviews, and recommends that the City Council
concur with the appointment as detailed below.
The City Council directed the City Clerk to post for one vacancy on the Greater Lodi Area Youth
Commission — Adult Advisor on August 18, 2021. Only one application was received, and staff
recommends reposting the vacancy until filled.
Government Code Section 54970 et sec.. requires that the City Clerk post for vacancies to allow citizens
interested in serving to submit an application.

One (1) Adult Advisor Vacancy
on the Greater Lodi Area Youth Commission
The City of Lodi is currently accepting applications
from individuals interested in serving as an adult advisor
on the Greater Lodi Area Youth Commission,
developed to affect positive growth in young adults
through a variety of activities that will generate interest
and participation within the community.
The Youth Commission meets on the 2nd Monday of
each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Cottage Room at
Hutchins Street Square, and consists of 6 adult advisors
and 9 student members.
Applications are now being accepted to fill one (1)
vacancy, which is due to expire May 31, 2024.
Applications are available online at:

Appointments to the Commission will be made by the
Mayor with Council approval.
Note: You must be registered to vote in San Joaquin
County at the time of application. This is a volunteer,
