RECOMMENDED ACTION Set public hearing for October 6, 2021 to consider the
recommendation of the Planning Commission to introduce an
ordinance amending the development standards for hotels on
two parcels for Reynolds Ranch PD (39).
BACKGROUND INFORMATION The Community Development Department has prepared a
proposed amendment to the Reynolds Ranch Planned
Development (PD 39) which would put in place development
standards specific to hotels on two parcels.
The existing Fairfield Inn and Suites is located on one of the parcels, the recently approved, but not
yet built, Marriott Residence Inn is on the other. Neither hotel complies with the current development
standards of PD (39). Both hotels require increased height and floor -to -area ratio standards in order
to comply with City regulations.
Staff recommends that the City Council set a public hearing to consider the recommendation of the
Planning Commission to adopt an ordinance amending the development standards for hotels on two
parcels for Reynolds Ranch PD (39).

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at the hour of
7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, the City Council will
conduct a public hearing at the Carnegie Forum, 305 West Pine Street, Lodi, to
consider the following item:
a) Introducing an ordinance amending development standards
for hotels on two parcels for Reynolds Ranch PD (39).
Information regarding this item may be obtained in the Community Development
Department, 221 West Pine Street, Lodi, (209) 333-6711. All interested persons are
invited to present their views and comments on this matter. Written statements may be
