BACKGROUND INFORMATION: From time to time, Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services receives requests from the community to plant trees, install park benches and plaques as memorials for loved ones. PRCS has received the following donations totaling $8,800: 1 — Bench and Plaque Memorial for Victor and Dorothy Buller - donated by Dennis Cunnington 1 — Bench and Plaque Memorial for Gary Kellam — donated by Janet Kellam 1 — Bench and Plaque Memorial for David Noble Imus Taves and Tyler Noble Taves — donated by David Pressnall and Jackie Taves 1 — Bench and Plaque Memorial for Kaz and Doris Shintani — donated by Jeff Shintani 1 — Bench and Plaque Memorial for Hollee Weethee — donated by Mark Weethee 1 — Bench and Plaque Memorial for Robert Dyer — donated by Chris Dyer All donations, with the exception of the donation for Robert Dyer, will be located at Lodi Lake. Of the Lodi Lake donations, four will be replacing existing benches and one is a new bench. The Robert Dyer donation is a new bench at Katzakian Park. The Parks & Recreation Commission approved accepting these donations at their August 3, 2021, meeting. FISCAL IMPACT: There will be no fiscal impact — project will be funded through donations. This amount covers the cost of materials and installation for the bench and plaque. As discussed with Parks Superintendent, Steve Virrey, we have identified a location at Lodi Lake for the bench and plaque.
