RECOMMENDED ACTION: Mayor Nakanishi will present a proclamation proclaiming October as
"Cybersecurity Month" in the City of Lodi.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Cybersecurity Awareness Month, previously known as National
Cybersecurity Awareness Month, continues to raise awareness
about the importance of cybersecurity across our nation, ensuring
that all Americans have the resources they need to be safer and more secure online. Cybersecurity
Awareness Month started 18 years ago by the National Cyber Security Alliance and the U.S. Department
of Homeland Security (DHS) as a broad effort to help all Americans stay safer and more secure online.
