The bid results are shown below: Bidder Amount Clayborn Contracting Group, Inc., Auburn CA $42,587.00 Applegate Johnston, Inc., Modesto CA 43,040.00 Tim Paxin's Pacific Excavation, Elk Grove CA 49,682.00 This project will install utility conduits (electric, telephone and cable TV) under the Woodbridge Irrigation District's canal northwest of Lower Sacramento Road and Lodi Avenue. The conduit systems will provide interconnections between existing utilities and future systems in the area west of Lower Sacramento Road as this area develops. The Electric Utility Department is the lead agency for the project. PacBell and AT&T Broadband are the other utilities participating in the project. These utilities will reimburse the City for their appropriate share of the cost of the project, approximately 1/3 each. Plans and Specifications for this project were approved by the City Council at the meeting of December 6, 2000. The Engineer's estimate was $60,000. Dixon Flynn --'City Manager RESOLUTION NO. 2001-04 A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR INSTALLATION OF UTILITY CONDUITS UNDER THE WOODBRIDGE IRRIGATION DISTRICT'S CANAL WHEREAS, in answer to notice duly published in accordance with law and the order of this City Council, sealed bids were received and publicly opened on January 2, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. for Installation of Utility Conduits under the Woodbridge Irrigation District's Canal, described in the specifications therefore approved by the City Council on December 6, 2000; and WHEREAS, said bids have been compared, checked, and tabulated and a report thereof filed with the City Manager as follows: Bidder Location Bid Clayborn Contracting Group, Inc., Auburn, CA $ 42,587.00 Applegate Johnston, Inc. Modesto, CA $ 43,040.00 Tim Paxin's Pacific Excavation Elk Grove, CA $ 49,682.00 NOW, THEREFORE,.BE IT RESOLVED by the Lodi City Council that the award of the Bid for Installation of Utility Conduits under the Woodbridge Irrigation District's Canal, be made to the low bidder, Clayborn Contracting Group, Inc., of Auburn, California, in the amount of $42,587.00; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a Work Order for the design consultant, Mark Thomas and Company, to provide construction management services. Therefore, enclosed with this letter you will find: Contract, 2 copies. Please execute each copy on page 4.3 under CONTRACTOR and return both copies to the City for execution. The effective date of this contract will be the date the City executes the Contract. The "California All -Purpose Acknowledgment" must also be completed for each Bond.
