BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The City Council directed the City Clerk to post for three expiring terms on the Greater Lodi Area Youth Commission on March 17, 2021. The Mayor reviewed the applications, conducted interviews, and recommends that the City Council concur with the appointment as detailed below. One vacancy remains on the Greater Lodi Area Youth Commission. It is recommended that the City Council direct the City Clerk to post for this vacancy for a period of 30 days. Government Code Section 54970 et sec.. requires that the City Clerk post for vacancies to allow citizens interested in serving to submit an application. The Youth Commission meets on the 2nd Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Cottage Room at Hutchins Street Square, and consists of 6 adult advisors and 9 student members. Applications are now being accepted to fill one (1) vacancy, which is due to expire May 31, 2024. A copy of this letter will be forwarded to the City liaison for this group who will contact you soon regarding your responsibilities and the dates and times of upcoming meetings.
