RECOMMENDED ACTION: Public Hearing to consider adopting resolution adopting 2020 Urban
Water Management Plan Update.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: On November 18, 2020, Council approved an agreement with RMC
Water and Environment, of Walnut Creek, to prepare the 2020
Urban Water Management Plan (UWMP) update. State law
requires the UWMP be updated by all water suppliers every five years. The City Council adopted the
current UWMP on June 1, 2016.
The UWMP documents the City's plan to ensure adequate water supplies will meet existing and future
water was presented at the public hearing, scheduled for the August 4, 2021 Council meeting.
The draft 2020 UWMP was made available to the public on April 16, 2021.

A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL
ADOPTING THE 2020 URBAN WATER
MANAGEMENT PLAN UPDATE
WHEREAS, on November 18, 2020, Council approved an agreement with RMC
Water and Environment, of Walnut Creek, to prepare the 2020 Urban Water
Management Plan (UWMP) update; and
WHEREAS, State law requires the UWMP be updated by all water suppliers
every five years; and
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted the current UWMP on June 1, 2016.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Lodi City Council does hereby
adopt the 2020 Urban Water Management Plan Update.

In addition to compleling the 2020 lJVUP update. the Wafer Shortage Contingency Plan (WSGP) is required to be submmed as a standalone
d ocumeM (il veas previously a component of the V WMP). The Public draft of the 2020 WSCP is available below for written public comment
between May 6. 2021 and June 6, 2021.
The 2020 V WMP Guidebook adds a neverequiremenl for V WMPs to include a slalement of reliance on the Delta region in order to comply with the
requirements of the plan. This new requirement applies to the 2015 JWMP. which was amended to include a statement on the Cify of Ladfs
relianee on the Delta region. The Public draft of the 2020 Delia Reliance slatemerrl is available he'rl umtten public comment between May 6.
