BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Due to the recent death of a Commissioner, there is one vacancy on the Lodi Senior Citizens Commission. It is recommended that the City Council direct the City Clerk to post for this vacancy for a period of 30 days. Government Code Section 54970 et seg. requires that the City Clerk post for vacancies to allow citizens interested in serving to submit an application. The Lodi Senior Citizens Commission meets at 8:00 a.m. on the 1St Thursday of each month at the Senior Center at Hutchins Street Square, and consists of 7 members, each serving 4 -year terms. Applications are now being accepted to fill one (1) vacancy on the Lodi Senior Citizens Commission for the remainder of a 4 -year term, which will expire on December 31, 2023.
