A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AMENDMENT NO. 4 TO THE PROFESSIONAL
SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH DELTA WIRELESS INC., OF STOCKTON, AND
TO THE PURCHASE OF THE REPLACEMENT ULTRA HIGH FREQUENCY (UHF)
CONVENTIONAL MULTISITE RADIO COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEMS FROM
MOTOROLA SOLUTIONS INC., OF SAN DIEGO
WHEREAS, on September 4, 2019, Council adopted Resolution No. 2019-178,
approving the purchase of the replacement radio system for Public Safety, which is an integral
part of a Police Officer's and Firefighter's safety while on duty; and
WHEREAS, on September 4, 2019, Council adopted Resolution No 2019-178,
approving the Professional Service Agreement with Delta Wireless Inc., for support of the UHF
radio system; and
WHEREAS, on October 7, 2020 Council adopted Resolution No. 2020-218, approving
Amendment No. 1 to the Professional Agreement with Delta Wireless, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, the Professional Services Agreement expired on May 31, 2021; and
WHEREAS, staff recommends approving Amendment No. 4 to extend the Professional
Services Agreement with Delta Wireless for support of the existing radio components, not
included under the UHF warranty, for an annual total of $32,040 for the first year; and
WHEREAS, the Motorola warranty on the new UHF will expire May 31, 2022. Delta
Wireless support contract will combine the support for the new UHF and existing radio
equipment, with support for four years, to expire May 31, 2026, at an annual cost of $68,760,
not to exceed $307,500.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Lodi City Council does hereby
authorize the City Manager to execute Amendment No. 4 to extending the Professional
Services Agreement with Delta Wireless for service of existing radio infrastructure and the UHF
system for five years, with an annual expense of $32,040 for Year One, then increasing to
$68,760 in Year Two, for four years, expiring May 31,2026, not to exceed $307,500; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, pursuant to Section 6.3q of the City Council Protocol
Manual (Res. No. 2019-223), the City Attorney is hereby authorized to make minor revisions to
the above -referenced document(s) that do not alter the compensation or term, and to make
clerical corrections as necessary.
