HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 2021-181RESOLUTION NO. 2021-181 A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL CONFIRMING A SEPARATE UNREPRESENTED FIRE EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT AGREEMENT THAT INCLUDES A THREE PERCENT (3%) EMPLOYEE COST-SHARING PURSUANT TO CALIFORNIA GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION §20516 WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 2018-214, and in accordance with California Government Code §20516, the Fire Chief shall pay three percent (3%) towards the employer's share of CalPERS normal pension cost (cost-sharing), in addition to the employee's normal contribution for both Classic and PEPRA members; and WHEREAS, the Fire Chief did not agree to any additional cost-sharing as other Executive Management employees; and WHEREAS, CalPERS requires a separate contribution unit for the Fire Chief based on the different cost-sharing agreement; and WHEREAS, the City of Lodi will submit an amendment to the CalPERS contract that will create a new contribution unit for unrepresented Fire Executive Management; and WHEREAS, unrepresented Fire Executive Management agree to a separate cost- sharing amount from all other Executive Management employees. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Lodi City Council does hereby approve the separate cost-sharing agreement for unrepresented Fire Executive Management.
