The initial term of the Contract is one year and includes three optional, one-year extensions, for a total of
four years, if all extensions are executed.
The specifications are on file in the Public Works Department. The planned bid opening date is May 12,
2021. The project estimate is $125,000.
Staff recommends approving specifications and authorizing advertisement for bids for 2021-2022 Asphalt
Materials; authorizing City Manager to award to lowest responsive bidder in an amount not to exceed
$125,000, and execute change orders in an amount not to exceed $20,000.
FISCAL IMPACT: Preventive maintenance will extend the useful life of our streets and reduce
future street reconstruction costs. This project will not impact the General
Fund.
