BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Due to a recent resignation, there is a vacancy on the Lodi Improvement Committee. It is recommended that the City Council direct the City Clerk to post for this vacancy for a period of 30 days. Government Code Section 54970 et seq. requires that the City Clerk post for vacancies to allow citizens interested in serving to submit an application. The LIC meets at 6:00 p.m. on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at the Carnegie Forum, 305 W. Pine Street, and consists of 7 members, each serving 3 -year terms. Applications are now being accepted to fill one vacancy, which will expire March 1, 2024. Applications are available online at http:/Iwww.lodi.gov/184/Boards-Comi-nissions. For more information call 333-6702. Appointment to the committee will be made by the Mayor with Council approval.
