HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 2020-196RESOLUTION NO. 2020-196 ADOPT RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ROLL FORWARD THE REMAINING APPROPRIATION TO FISCAL YEAR 2021 FOR THE OUTFITTING OF THE NEW ENGINE 2034 WHEREAS, the City of Lodi is a public agency located in the County of San Joaquin, State of California; and WHEREAS, the purchase and outfitting of a new fire engine was adopted as part of the Fiscal Year 2020 budget ($650,000 new engine/$100,000 outfitting); and WHEREAS, this new engine will be placed on the front line and will be replacing the current Engine 2034; and WHEREAS, due to COVID-19, there were delays in the manufacturing of the engine and it did not arrive in California until the end of June, causing delays in making purchases related to the outfitting of the new engine; and WHEREAS, the unspent balance of the appropriation for the outfitting of the engine is $40,000. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Lodi City Council does hereby authorize the City Manager to roll forward the remaining appropriation in the amount of $40,000 into Fiscal Year 2021 to complete the outfitting of Engine 2034; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, pursuant to Section 6.3q of the City Council Protocol Manual (Res. No. 2019-223), the City Attorney is hereby authorized to make minor revisions to the above - referenced document(s) that do not alter the compensation or term, and to make clerical corrections as necessary.
