RECOMMENDED ACTION: Adopt resolution rescinding Resolution No. 2019-233 and authorizing
City Manager to execute Professional Seruices Agreement with
Securitas Electronic Security, lnc., of Uniontown, Ohio, for installation,
repair, and maintenance of City securi$ doors, gates, and access controls, in the amount of $90,000.
BAGKGROUND INFORMATION: On November 20, 2019, Counciladopted Resolution No, 2019-233
awarding the Professional Services Agreement for installation,
repair, and maintenance of City security doors, gates, and access
controls to Securitas Electronic Security, lnc. (Securitas), in the amount of $90,000. Afrer Council
award, Securitas requested minor changes to some of the legal language and to add a new section
covering warranties. The requested revisions are acceptable to staff and are approved by the City
Attorney. Allother terms and conditions remain the same.
Staff recommends rescinding Resolution No. 2019-233 and authorizing City Manager to execute
Professional Services Agreement with Securitas Electronic Security, lnc., of Uniontown, Ohio, for
installation, repair, and maintenance of Ci$ security doors, gates, and access controls, in the amount of
$90,000.
FISCAL IMPAGT:Costs will be distributed to the division operating account dependent upon
the location of the installation, repairs, and or maintenance. lt is anticipated
that approximately 50 percent of the work associated with this agreement
will impact the General Fund.
FUNDING AVAILABLE:Funding is budgeted in the operating accounts associated with the location
of the repairs.

A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL RESCINDING RESOLUTION
NO. 2019-233, AND AUTHOR¡ZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
THE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH
SECURITAS ELECTRONIC SECURITY, INC., OF UNIONTOWN, OHIO, FOR
INSTALLATION, REPAIR, AND MAINTENANCE OF CITY SECURITY
DOORS, GATES, AND ACCESS CONTROLS
WHEREAS, on November 20,2019, Council adopted Resolution No. 2019-233 awarding
the Professional Services Agreement for installation, repair, and maintenance of City security
doors, gates, and access controls to Securitas Electronic Security, lnc. (Securitas), in the
amount of $90,000; and
WHEREAS, after Council award, Securitas requested minor changes to some of the
legal language and to add a new section covering warranties; and
WHEREAS, the requested revisions are acceptable to staff and have been approved by
the City Attorney, with all other terms and conditions remaining the same; and
WHEREAS, staff recommends rescinding Resolution No. 2019-233 and authorizing the
City Manager to execute the Professional Services Agreement with Securitas Electronic
Security, lnc., of Uniontown, Ohio, for installation, repair, and maintenance of City security
doors, gates, and access controls, in the amount of $90,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE lT RESOLVED that the Lodi City Council does hereby rescind
Resolution No. 2019-233 and authorizes the City Manager to execute a Professional Services
Agreement with Securitas Electronic Security, lnc., of Uniontown, Ohio, for installation, repair,
and maintenance of City security doors, gates, and access controls, in the amount of $90,000;
and
BE lT FURTHER RESOLVED, pursuant to Section 6.3q of the City Council Protocol
Manual (adopted 1116119, Resolution No. 2019-223), the City Attorney is hereby authorized to
make minor revisions to the above-referenced document(s) that do not alter the compensation
or term, and to make clerical corrections as necessary.
