AGENDA TITLE: Presentation by the Greater Lodi Area Youth Commission
Regarding Honoring Teens program.

RECOMMENDED ACTION: Presentation.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The Greater Lodi Area Youth Commission, in conjunction with the
Lodi Sunrise Rotary Club, Linnco Services and Central Valley Waste Services is
sponsoring a program entitled Honoring Teens. The Lodi Youth Commission
Leadership Committee selects one teen to be awarded Teen of the Month from the
applications submitted to the commission from the general public, various schools, and
church groups. This month's Teen of the Month is Erica Yoon from Lodi High School.

Bio for City Council
September Teen of the Month
Erica Yoon is a student at Lodi High School. Erica is an excellent teen in the youth
community of Lodi. She recently founded The Asian Persuasion Club at Lodi High.
Her goal with this club is racial unity and awareness. Erica is extremely involved in
FBLA, holding the status of secretary. She holds the position of Vice President of
the Chess Club. She is also in the Interact Club, S -Club, Future Republicans of
America, Breakthrough Club, On Fire, and Environmental Awareness Club. She is
an active athlete on the Varsity Cheer squad and track team at Lodi High. Erica
Yoon is an excellent role model for all students in the greater Lodi area.
