AGENDA TITLE: Post For Vacancy On The Lodi Senior Citizens Commission

RECOMMENDED ACTION: That Council, by motion action, direct the City Clerk to post for the following
vacancy on the Lodi Senior Citizens Commission.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The City Clerk's Office received the attached letter of resignation from a
member of the Lodi Senior Citizens Commission. Therefore, it is
recommended that the City Council direct the City Clerk to post for the
following vacancy:
Lodi Senior Citizens Commission
Robert J. Maus Term to expire December 31, 2000
State statute requires that the City Clerk post for vacancies to allow citizens interested in serving to submit an
application. The City Council is requested to direct the City Clerk to make the necessary postings.

Please advise the City Council that because of complications after surgery affecting
my voice I do not feel I can serve as a member of the Lodi Senior Citizens Commission
any longer, and request that my resignation be accepted immediately.
