RECOMMENDED ACTION: Appoint Teresa Whitmire and Tracy Williams to the Lodi Senior
Citizens Commission and Roger Stafford to the Site Plan and
Architectural Review Committee; re -post for vacancy on Site Plan
and Architectural Review Committee; and post for an expiring term on the Lodi Improvement Committee.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The City Council directed the City Clerk to post for expiring terms on
the Lodi Senior Citizens Commission and the Site Plan and
Architectural Review Committee (SPARC) on November 6, 2019.
The Mayor reviewed the applications, conducted interviews, and recommends that the City Council
concur with the appointments as detailed below. Only one application was received for the two expiring
terms on SPARC, so it is recommended that City Council direct the City Clerk to re -post the vacancy until
filled.
There is one expiring term on the Lodi Improvement Committee. It is recommended that the City Council
direct the City Clerk to post for this expiring term for a 30 -day period. Government Code Section 54970 et
seg. requires that the City Clerk post for vacancies to allow citizens interested in serving to submit an
application.

Thank you very much for completing an application of interest in serving as a member of the Lodi Senior
Citizens Commission. It is people like you who are willing to donate their time and talent that make Lodi a very
special place.
There were many excellent applications received, making the review and appointment process a difficult one;
however, a choice had to be made. The candidates selected by the Mayor were appointed at the regular City
Council meeting of January 15, 2020.
Your application will remain on file for review and consideration of future vacancies for a period of one year
