HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgenda Report - October 18, 2000 E-09CITY OF LODI COUNCIL COMMUNICATION AGENDA TITLE: Accept Improvements Under Contract for Type II Polymer Modified Slurry Seal, Various City Streets, 2000 MEETING DATE: October 18, 2000 PREPARED BY: Public Works Director RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council accept the improvements under Type II Polymer Modified Slurry Seal, Various City Streets, 2000 contract. BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The project was awarded to California Pavement Maintenance Company, of Sacramento, on August 2, 2000, in the amount of $64,948.99 for 1,216,038 square feet of application. The contract has been completed in substantial conformance with the specifications approved by the City Council. The contract completion date was September 25, 2000. The final contract price was $66,383.59. The difference between the contract amount and the final contract price was due to additional slurry seal work done. The slurry seal project covered a total of 1,227,993 square feet. There are sufficient funds in the current operating budget to cover this increase. Following acceptance by the City Council, the City Engineer will file a Notice of Completion with the County Recorder's office FUNDING: Operating Budget (Street Fund) Prepared by George M.
