All work and material were donated by the respective clubs. The sign became an entrance feature and was recently reconditioned and repainted in 2017, by City staff. The Lodi Kiwanis Club, Lodi Lions Club, and Lodi Rotary Club are requesting to install their club emblems on the Welcome to City of Lodi sign for the recognition of their work on the Hutchins Median Project. While the Kiwanis Club did not participate in the Hutchins Median Project, the Lions Club and Rotary Club support the placement of the Kiwanis sign because of their contributions in other locations in the City. The proposed emblems graphics are shown in Exhibit B. The proposed emblems are approximately 18 inches in diameter, made out of metal, and will be installed by club volunteers with a City-issued encroachment permit. The signs and the installation methods will be reviewed and approved by Public Works Department with the encroachment permit application. ln the past the City has allowed service club emblems to be installed on City signs.
