District Attorney and administrative staff. The lease provided a reduced annual rent amount of $1
because the required tenant improvements to convert an existing storage room into office space was
made by San Joaquin County at its own expense. The current lease agreement provides a $200 per
month reimbursement from the County to the City for utilities and custodial services.
The original term of this lease was for three years, commencing on January 7,2015 and ending on
January 6,2018. The lease provided an option to extend the term for an additional two-year period,
which the County did execute, and will expire on January 6,2020. The tenant has requested this first
amendment to allow for two additional two-year terms that would extend the lease through January 6,
2024. All other terms and conditions in the lease will remain unchanged.
Staff recommends authorizing City Manager to execute first amendment of lease with San Joaquin
County for office space within Lodi Police Department.
FISCAL IMPACT This lease provides $2,400 annually to the General Fund for utility and
custodial services.
