This contract was awarded on July 13,2017 to Popuch Concrete Contracting, lnc., of Lodi, in the amount
of $203,232. The original funding amount for the two-year contract was intended primarily for use by the
Streets Division for FiscalYears 2017118 and 2018119. On November 15, 2018, Council authorized
change orders for this contract in an amount not to exceed $300,000. This amount was intended to

needed, as well as, the anticipated addition for Fiscal Year 2019120.
A one-year extension was executed on June 6, 2019 and $100,000 was added by change order, once the
Fiscal Year 2019/20 budget was approved. Since this contract is now frequently utilized by other City
departments, the current total contract amount has reached $497,950.50, including all authorized change
orders over the past two and a half fiscal years.
To continue utilizing this contract on a Citywide basis for Fiscal Year 2019120, staff recommends
approving an additional $150,000 in change orders, for a total contract amount of $647,950.50. Potential
locations where this contract could be utilized by the Public Works Department are shown in Exhibit A.

Miscellaneous Concrete Repair Program, in an amount not to exceed $150,000.
F¡SCAL IMPACT:By performing regular sidewalk improvements and maintenance, the City
will reduce liability exposure associated with trip and fall claims. This
