BACKGROUND INFORMATION: On June 5,2019, Council adopted Resolution No. 2019-87 awarding the Contract for Janitorial Services for City Facilities to ABM lndustry Groups, LLC (ABM), in the amount of $424,094. After Council award, ABM requested changes to the contract language to include provisions for adjustments in pricing to accommodate for minimum wage increases and other federally required adjustments. While adjustments in the previous contract with ABM were performed by less formal contract amendments, ABM is requesting these provisions be included in the original contract language. The requested revisions are acceptable to staff and are approved by the City Attorney. All other terms and conditions remain the same. Staff recommends rescinding Resolution No. 2019-87 and awarding Contract for Janitorial Services for City Facilities to ABM lndustry Groups, LLC, of San Francisco, in the amount of $424,094, and authorizing City Manager to execute change orders in an amount not to exceed $40,000. FISCAL IMPAGT:The bids for janitorial services came in slightly higher than anticipated, likely due to the annual increases in minimum wage. The General Fund will contribute approximately 55 percent toward the total contract amount. All other terms and conditions remain the same; and WHEREAS, staff recommends rescinding Resolution No. 2019-87 and awarding the contract for Janitorial Services for City Facilities to ABM lndustry Groups, LLC, of San Francisco, in the amount of $424,094; and WHEREAS, staff also recommends authorizing the City Manager to execute change orders, in an amount not to exceed $40,000. NOW, THEREFORE, BE lT RESOLVED that the Lodi City Council does hereby rescind Resolution No. 2019-87 and award the contract for Janitorial Services for City Facilities to ABM lndustry Groups, LLC, of San Francisco, California, in the amount of $424,094; and BE lT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Lodi City Council does hereby authorize the City Manager to execute the contract on behalf of the City of Lodi; and BE lT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Lodi City Council does hereby authorize the City Manager to execute change orders, in an amount not to exceed $40,000.
