BACKGROUND INFORMATION: This project consists of replacing the existing, submersible wastewater pumps, underground conduits, level controls, and control panelwith the new Flygt Concertor Pumping System. The project also includes removing the electricaljunction boxes within the wet well, providing direct connections from the new control panel to the new submersible pumps, bypass pumping, and other incidental work, all as shown on the plans and specifications for the above project. The plans and specifications for this project were approved on June 20, 2018. The contract was awarded on September 19, 2018, without the alternate bid item, to Division 5-15, a California Corporation, of Gold River, in the amount of $89,515. The original contract completion date was March 6,2019. Due to an extended lead time for new pumps and pump equipment and one City-requested change order, the contract was completed on June 6, 2019. The final contract amount is $92,130. The difference between the original contract amount and final contract was due to Change Order No. 1. Change Order No. 1 provided for construction of a new junction box and wiring for a direct feed to the existing light circuit ($2,615). Following acceptance by the City Council, as required by law, the City Engineer will file a Notice of Completion with the County Recorder's office. The notice serves to notify vendors and subcontractors that the project is complete and begins their 30-day period to file a stop notice requiring the City to withhold payments from the prime contractor in the event of a payment dispute. FISCAL IMPAGT: The project will reduce maintenance costs and enhance the reliability of the Police Station facility wastewater pumping system. FUNDING AVAILABLE: The project was funded by General Fund Capital (43199000.77020). Charles E.
