HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgenda Report - August 16, 2000 E-05CITY OF I,ODI COUNCIL COMMUNICATION AGENDA TITLE: Specifications and Advertisement for Bids for Lane Line Painting, Various City Streets, 2000 MEETING DATE: August 16, 2000 PREPARED BY: Public Works Director RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council approve the specifications for the above project and authorize advertising for bids. BACKGROUND INFORMATION: This project provides painting of lane lines on arterial and collector streets on an annual basis, and approximately 50 percent of residential streets. Should the actual bid be less than the amount budgeted, the difference will be used to paint additional lane lines. Should the bid prices come in over the project estimate, the Street Division will downsize the scope of the project to coincide with the project estimate. A recap of the types of lane line and quantities is shown below: LANE LINES MILE Broken White 20.09 Broken Yellow 24.04 Double Yellow 18.40 Eight -Inch Solid White 2.78 Four -Inch Solid White 9.45 Continuous Left 7.94 Six -Inch Solid White 1.63 Six -Inch Skip .34 Total Miles 84.67 The specifications are on file in the Public Works Department.
