RECOMMENDED AGTION: Post for vacancy on the Lodi Senior Citizens Commission.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Due to a recent resignation, there is one vacancy on the Lodi Senior
Citizens Commission. lt is recommended that the City Council direct
the City Clerk to post for this vacancy for a 30-day period.
Government Code Section 54970 et seg. requires that the City Clerk post for vacancies to allow citizens
interested in serving to submit an application.

One (l) Vacancy on the
Lodl Senlor Gltlzens Gommlsston
The City of Lodi is currently accepting applications for
the Lodi Senlor Gitizens Gommission, developed
to identify the needs and issues specifically affecting the
senior citizens of the community and initiate action to
assure they are addressed.
The Lodi Senior Citizens Commission meets at g:00
a.m. on the 1't Thursday of each month at the Senior
Center at Hutchins Street Square, and consists of 7
members, each serving -year terms.
Applications are now being accepted to fill one (1)
vacancy on the Lodi Senior Citizens Commission forthe remainder of a -year term, which will expire on
December 31,2020.

Purpose: To inspire, encourage and promote the arts in the community. ln addition, the Arts Commission oversees the City's public art program, and
