BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The City Council directed the City Clerk to post for vacancies on the Parks and Recreation Commission, Senior Citizens Commission, Site Plan and Architectural Review Committee, and San Joaquin Council of Governments Citizens' Advisory Committee on October 17, 2018, and for a vacancy on the Greater Lodi Area Youth Commission on November 15, 2018. The Mayor reviewed the applications, conducted interviews, and recommends that the City Council concur with the appointments as detailed below. There is one expiring term on the Lodi Improvement Committee. It is recommended that the City Council direct the City Clerk to post for the expiring term for a 30 -day period. Government Code Section 54970 et seq. requires that the City Clerk post for vacancies to allow citizens interested in serving to submit an application. At the regular City Council meeting of February 6, 2019, Council concurred with the Mayor's recommendation.
