HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgenda Report - August 2, 2000 E-10OF COUNCIL COMMUNICATION ��FOR AGENDA TITLE: Accept Improvements Under Contract for Lower Sacramento Road, 1,000 Feet South of Lodi Avenue, Culvert Extension MEETING DATE: August 2, 2000 PREPARED BY: Public Works Director RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council accept the improvements under the "Lower Sacramento Road, 1,000 Feet South of Lodi Avenue, Culvert Extension" contract and direct the City Engineer to file a Notice of Completion with the County Recorder's office. BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The project was awarded to Altman General Engineering Contractor, of Yuba City, on November 17, 1999, in the amount of $242,791.00. The contract has been completed in substantial conformance with the plans and specifications approved by the City Council. The contract completion date was July 14, 2000, and the actual completion date was July 11, 2000. The final contract price was $277,978.46. The difference between the contract amount and the final contract price is mainly due to a contract change order which added three retaining walls/wingwalls on the existing box culverts at Lower Sacramento Road and Sargent Road, and at Lower Sacramento Road and the Raley's driveway.
