RECOMMENDED ACTION: Direct the City Clerk to post for vacancy on the Greater Lodi Area
Youth Commission.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: There is one vacancy on the Greater Lodi Area Youth Commission.
It is recommended that the City Council direct the City Clerk to post
for the vacancy for a 30 -day period. Government Code
Section 54970 et seq. requires that the City Clerk post for vacancies to allow citizens interested in
serving to submit an application.

ANNOUNCEMENT
One (1) Student Vacancy
on the Greater Lodi Area Youth Commission
The City of Lodi is currently accepting applications for
the Greater Lodi Area Youth Commission,
developed to affect positive growth in young adults
through a variety of activities that will generate interest
and participation within the community.
The Youth Commission meets on the 2" Monday of
each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Cottage Room at Hutchins
Street Square and consists of 6 adult advisors serving
3 -year terms and 9 student members serving 2 -year
terms.
Applications are now being accepted to fill one (1)
student vacancy, which is due to expire May 31, 2019.

information call 333-6702.
Appointments to the Commission will be made by the
Mayor with Council approval.
Filing Deadline: Wednesday, December 26, 2018.
Note: Applicants under age 18 must obtain parent/guardian
