HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 2018-236RESOLUTION NO. 2018-236 A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AGRICULTURAL LEASES FOR WHITE SLOUGH WATER POLLUTION CONTROL FACILITY WHEREAS, the City has two agricultural lease parcels located at White Slough Water Pollution Control Facility (WSWPCF), which total approximately 809 acres; and WHEREAS, the current tenants are Kirschenman Farms (591± acres) and Lima Ranch (219± acres); and WHEREAS, both tenants have performed very well during the current lease period, and staff believes extending the offer to renew both leases with the current farmers is in the best interest of the City; both tenants have agreed to the terms of the lease agreements; and WHEREAS, staff recommends authorizing the City Manager to execute agricultural leases for White Slough Water Pollution Control Facility. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Lodi City Council does hereby authorize the City Manager to execute agricultural leases for White Slough Water Pollution Control Facility with Kirschenman Farms and Lima Ranch, for the term of five years, through December 31, 2023.
