HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 2018-214RESOLUTION NO. 2018-214 A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL APPROVING COMPENSATION AND BENEFIT MODIFICATIONS TO THE EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT (EXCLUDING COUNCIL APPOINTEES) EMPLOYEE CONTRACTS EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2018 THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2019 WHEREAS, the City has completed negotiations with all Mid -Management bargaining units; and WHEREAS, Council approved modifications to compensation and benefits provided to the Mid -Management bargaining units; and WHEREAS, it is recommended that Council approve the following compensation and benefit modifications to the Executive Management (excluding Council Appointees) employee contracts, similar to modifications provided to the Mid -Managers: • Increase to the City's maximum contribution to healthcare premiums by 5%. • Amend the Flexible 125 plan to provide for carryover of contributions. • Special bank of 80 hours of non-cashable leave to be used by December 31, 2019. • Three percent (3%) salary adjustment for a three percent (3%) employee contribution (cost- sharing) of the employer's normal contribution toward CaIPERS, pursuant to Government Code Section 20516. WHEREAS, staff recommends the above amendments for the Deputy City Manager; Electric Utility Director; Fire Chief; Library Director; Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Director; Police Chief; and Public Works Director. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Lodi City Council does hereby approve compensation and benefit modifications to Executive Management (excluding Council Appointees) employee contracts.
