A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL ACCEPTING VILLA FIORE
(VAN RUITEN RANCH) SUBDIVISION, UNIT NO. 1, TRACT NO. 3919,
PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS; AMENDING TRAFFIC RESOLUTION NO. 97-148
BY APPROVING MULTI -WAY STOP CONTROL AT CENTURY BOULEVARD
AND WESTGATE DRIVE, TWO-WAY STOP CONTROL ON
VAN RUITEN DRIVE AT CENTURY BOULEVARD, YIELD CONTROL ON
CARNATION WAY AT BLOSSOM DRIVE, YIELD CONTROL ON
DAFFODIL DRIVE AT PRIMROSE DRIVE, AND THROUGH STREET ON
VAN RUITEN DRIVE; AND FURTHER APPROPRIATING FUNDS
WHEREAS, Villa Fiore Subdivision, Unit No. 1, is the first phase of the multi -phase
residential development located west of Lower Sacramento Road and south of the
recently -completed Lodi Shopping Center; and
WHEREAS, Unit No. 1 consists of 130 single-family residential lots; and
WHEREAS, the project includes the installation of all interior subdivision public
improvements and full street improvements on Century Boulevard from Lower Sacramento
Road to its westerly boundary, and Westgate Drive from Lodi Shopping Center to
Century Boulevard; and
WHEREAS, the streets to be accepted are as follows:

Total New Miles of City Streets 1.84
WHEREAS, Villa Fiore neighborhood park, which is part of the subdivision public
improvements, will be completed under a separate improvement agreement, approved by the
City Council on January 17, 2018; and
WHEREAS, staff recommends accepting Villa Fiore (Van Ruiten Ranch) Subdivision,
Unit No. 1, Tract No. 3919, Public Improvements; and
WHEREAS, staff also recommends amending Traffic Resolution No. 97-148 by
approving multi -way stop control at Century Boulevard and Westgate Drive, two-way stop
control on Van Ruiten Drive at Century Boulevard, yield control on Carnation Way at
Blossom Drive, yield control on Daffodil Drive at Primrose Drive, and through street on
Van Ruiten Drive; and
WHEREAS, staff also recommends that the City Council appropriate funds in the
amount of $682,201 from the fund balance of Wastewater Capital Fund (53199000.77020) for
fiscal year 2018/19 for developer reimbursement for domestic outfall pipeline and industrial
waste outfall pipeline material costs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Lodi City Council does hereby accept
Villa Fiore (Van Ruiten Ranch) Subdivision, Unit No. 1, Tract No. 3919, Public Improvements;
and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Lodi City Council does hereby amend Traffic
Resolution No. 97-148 by approving multi -way stop control at Century Boulevard and
Westgate Drive, two-way stop control on Van Ruiten Drive at Century Boulevard, yield control
on Carnation Way at Blossom Drive, yield control on Daffodil Drive at Primrose Drive, and
through street on Van Ruiten Drive; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Lodi City Council does hereby authorize an
appropriation in the amount of $682,201, as set forth above.
