HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgenda Report - June 7, 2000 E-07CITY OF LODI COUNCIL COMMUNICATION AGENDA TITLE: Accept Improvements Under Contract for East Lodi Avenue Parcel Site Clearing and Building Demolition, 1400 - 1500 Block of East Lodi Avenue MEETING DATE: June 7, 2000 PREPARED BY: Public Works Director RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council accept the improvements under the "East Lodi Avenue Parcel Site Clearing and Building Demolition, 1400 - 1500 Block of East Lodi Avenue" contract, and direct the City Engineer to file a Notice of Completion with the County Recorder's office. BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The project was awarded to SEMCO, of Modesto, on March 1, 2000, in the amount of $17,974.00. The contract has been completed in substantial conformance with the plans and specifications approved by the City Council. The contract completion date was May 9, 2000, and the actual completion date was April 11, 2000. The final contract price was $21,321.50. The difference between the contract amount and the final contract price is mainly due to a contract change order issued to have the contractor disc the three acres around the Electric Utility Department's substation and to clear the area along the Central California Traction Company tracks between Guild Avenue and the substation. The Central California Traction Company has reimbursed the City for the work done by SEMCO within their right-of-way.
